While my music is more chill (for now…), I also really love listening to metal! I had spiritbox’s whole album ‘Eternal Blue’ on repeat during my flight from Australia, but kept going back to ‘Circle with me’ specifically. I kept imagining an extra melody over the top, so I figured why not record it after I landed?

Rina Sawayama’s STFU, and artists like babymetal, bad omens and hanabie made me more interested in metal by extending my horizons beyond the alienating white male-dominated metal I’d already discovered. I’ve also really enjoyed unearthing more awesome local and australian artists in the scene as well :)
